Objectives Evaluation
Each of the six specific objectives defined at the outset of the project was addressed by the delivered system.
| Objective | Status |
|---|---|
| Authenticate users | Met |
| Innovators can apply for events and manage incubation profiles | Met |
| Admins can filter applications and manage innovators' progress | Met |
| Mentors are assigned directly based on incubation level | Met |
| Role-based dashboards for innovators, mentors, and administrators | Met |
| Automated notifications and downloadable CSV reports | Met |
Performance against non-functional targets
System and UAT testing (see Test Strategy and User Acceptance Testing) confirmed the platform holds up against its non-functional requirements in practice, not just in design documents — response times, role-based access enforcement, and usability targets were all validated with real users and real data rather than assumed.
What this means in practice
The project replaced DeSIC's manual, error-prone processes with a secure, role-based, automated system that measurably improved operational efficiency, data accuracy, and communication across every stakeholder group — students, mentors, and administrative staff alike.
